When God Changes the Chapter

There are seasons when life turns without warning. Plans shift. Doors close. Directions change. And we find ourselves asking God, “Why didn’t You tell me this was coming?”
But God is not obligated to consult our comfort before He fulfills His purpose.
Many times, we would resist the very path we prayed for if He showed us the whole journey ahead of time. So in His mercy, He reveals it one step at a time. What feels sudden to us is not sudden to God. He has already gone before us, preparing provision, protection, and growth we cannot yet see.
The discomfort is not evidence that something is wrong — it is often evidence that something is being realigned.
Faith matures when we trust God’s leadership more than our expectations.
You may not recognize this chapter yet. It may feel unfamiliar. But unfamiliar does not mean unsafe when God is the Author.
Instead of asking, “Why did this happen?” try praying,
“Lord, show me how to walk with You in this new place.”
Because every chapter written by God leads toward purpose, even when it begins with surprise.

Point well taken!
