Can you remember the last time you shared with someone else, a thought or an idea that has been dancing around in your head?
Or-when you spoke to someone about a challenge or struggle that has been like a haunting nightmare? Or- can you remember the time you were brave enough to expose a deep dark secret?
Recall, how you felt after you shared ‘It’?
Now, just sit in that for a couple of deep breaths, inhale through your nose, and slowly out your nose. Come on try it, inhale a deep breath through your nose, and slowly release it out of your nose. Now, inhale a deeper breath through your nose, and push it out of your mouth. Now, feel what you feel.
The moment that you spoke the words to someone else, you lessened ‘It’s sting. You took away it’s power to hurt you. Regardless of outside reactions, responses or comments, how did YOU feel? Remember that sense of release, a euphoric sense of unburdening yourself?
Well, you literally made room in your head for positive energy. You made room in your heart for healing. Just getting ‘It’ outside of you, relaxes your soul, resets your ability to breathe again and gives you freedom to feel better.
I am here today, to encourage someone- “It’s Okay To Talk About It”
No matter how strong you believe you are, no matter how private, or independent you are, you were not designed to suffer in silence. You were not designed to keep everything to yourself. You have heard that “we are our brother’s keepers”? Well, there is someone who can offer you a safe and trusted place to share what you have felt no one cares about, stuff no one will understand, or that will only be used to cause further damage.
Find that someone who is willing to listen, selflessly. Someone who can help you to make sense of your situation. Yes, believe me, ‘It’ has created a situation in your life, and “It” is limiting your ability to move forward.
“It” is like an unwelcome weed, which is robbing your garden of fertility. You need to make room in your mind and your heart for good stuff to grow.
Now, when you can give “It” to God, you make room in your spirit for forgiveness, restoration, and transformation.
“You will still be eating last year’s harvest, when you will have to move It out, to make room for the new.”
Leviticus 26:10
