I am a work in progress. Long ago, before I was formed in my mother’s womb, my creator began a good work in me. Jesus Christ, the son of Almighty God said I, me, am an heir to the throne.

Now, some may take that to mean-since we have already been chosen, that the work is already done. God must have chosen the perfect people to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

However, my flesh has made me imperfect. My desire to fix things myself, or being easily offended are not pleasing in the sight of God. I am not of the world, but I am still in the world, tempted and tested by the powers of evil.

God began a good work in me, but this vessel is still a work in progress. I am transformed daily by the renewing of my mind. I am still an heir only because of God’s grace and mercy.

Humbly, I come before the Lord, daily, with my heart open and my mind ready to receive more. More wisdom, more knowledge and a greater understanding of He who has called me, and the life-changing journey I am on.

No matter how far I have come, I remain a grateful work in progress.

I encourage you to humble yourself, to see yourself and all of your perfect imperfections.

Know that you too- are a work in progress.

Philippians 1:6

“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

The word press has been used in context with making a surface smooth. It has also been applied to extracting substances. I will use this multifaceted word to encourage you to Move On.

When you feel stuck in an unproductive space, or perhaps you have fallen behind on your responsibilities, or you have been nursing a negative attitude, I would like to encourage you to press forward.

The word press implies that pressure is being applied, which requires an intent amount of force, and strength.

Therefore, study the Word of God for wisdom and guidance. He has supplied your every need. He speaks life into your dead (stuck) situations. He will take you from Glory to Glory (Victory to Victory).

Pursue and participate with intent.

Philippians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus".

You’re never alone.

Isaiah 4:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Even when you feel pressed.

2 Corinthians 4:8,9,16-18“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Therefore we do not lose heart".

Today is the last day of 2024, and as I am writing this, my 69 year old husband is on the highway, 5:00am, waiting for roadside assistance. Although he loves his truck, it has served him for more than 200,000 miles. However, I just signed over the pink slip to God! It is now His vehicle to repair, or to replace. It is amazing how calm I feel in this moment. I trust God to keep my husband safe, because this could have been worse. However , through a flood of joyful tears, streaming down my face, I share this testimony with you. I need you to know that the God we serve, who is Lord of lords, and King of kings. The only God who calmed the raging seas, can surely calm every storm in our lives. I am anticipating His favor. I can feel Him shifting and shaping a ‘New’ thing.
